วันนี้ตอนอ่านหนังสือพิมพ์ซึ่งเป็นเรื่องปกติสำหรับงานข่าวที่ตัวเองทำอยู่ก็เจอกับสิ่งที่ไม่คาดฝัน  แน่นอนว่า หลังๆมานี่ เกิดเหตุทางใต้แทบไม่เว้นแต่ละวัน  แต่สิ่งที่วันนี้มันต่างออกไปคือ…

สะดุดกับชื่อที่เขียนอยู่…พ.ต.พันธ์ศักดิ์ ทองสุข

ชื่อนี้…

คุ้นยิ่งกว่าจะคุ้น…

ชื่อเดียวกับคนที่เราพึ่งเจอมาที่ยะหา…

ไม่เชื่อสายตา รีบหยิบสมุดจดเบอร์โทรศัพท์ัตัวเองขึ้นมา…เปิดดู…ไม่จริงน่าๆ… แต่ก็พบว่า…ชื่อเดียวกันเด๊ะ…

พี่คนนั้นที่เราเจอแล้วก็ไปสัมภาษณ์มาที่โรงเรียนบ้านยะหา

ไม่อยากเชื่อ…

อึ้งไปเลย…

เมื่อประมาณต้นเดือนที่แล้ว ลงไปทำข่าวความรุนแรงทางใต้ และก็เลือกไปที่ยะหา… จำได้ว่า ตอนที่ไปสัมภาษณ์อจ.ประสิทธิ์ที่รร.บ้านยะหา ก็ได้มีโอกาสเจอกับคุณพันธ์ศักดิ์โดยบังเอิญ เนื่องจากคุณสุรเดชเชิญพี่เขามาให้มาพูดคุยกับเรา

ก็นั่งสัมภาษณ์กันอยู่พักใหญ่ พี่เขาเป็นคนไนซ์มากนะ  พูดภาษาอังกฤษเก่งด้วย ตอนแรกเราก็งงๆว่าทำไมเขาถามว่าเรามาจากไหนในกรุงเทพ ที่แท้พี่เค้าก็บอกว่า พี่เค้าอยู่กรุงเทพมาค่อนชีวิตเหมือนกัน  เคยเรียนอยู่สวนกุหลาบ แล้วพี่เค้ายังเล่นมุขเกี่ยวกับรร.เขาอยู่เลย  ถ้าจำไม่ผิด ตอนพี่เค้าคุยกับนักข่าวญี่ปุ่นที่ไปด้วยกัน เหมือนพี่เค้าจะบอกว่าเค้าเคยไปญี่ปุ่นอยู่

ครั้งนั้นเป็นครั้งแรกที่ตัวเองได้ลงไปชายแดนใต้ ซึ่งเป็นที่ๆตัวเองไม่เคยคิดว่าจะได้ไปในชีวิต  แต่พอได้ไปแล้ว ก็รู้สึกประทับใจในตัวทหารที่ประจำอยู่ทางใต้  พวกคุณเจ๋งมากๆ  พวกเราที่ใช้ชีวิตอย่างสบายอยู่กรุงเทพฯ หลายๆคนไม่รู้หรอกว่า ชีวิตคนในพื้นที่เป็นอย่างไร  ตัวเองทำงานข่าวเห็นข่าวทางใต้อยู่บ่อยๆ ก็ไม่เท่ากับตอนได้ลงไปเห็นพวกพี่ๆทหารทางใต้ทำงานกันจริงๆ  บอกได้คำเดียวว่า ประทับใจมาก และ พี่ๆทหารนี่น่ายกย่องนะ จำได้ว่าบอกพี่เค้าไปเหมือนกันว่าเนี่ย ได้มาเห็นจริงๆแล้วประทับใจพี่ๆทหารมาก

ครั้งนี้…อยากบอกว่า เป็นครั้งแรกที่ร้องไห้ให้กับการเสียชีวิตของคนที่ ญาติก็ไม่ใ่ช่ และได้เจอกันแป๊บเดียว

เสียใจที่ ตอนนั้นที่พี่เค้าเมลรูปที่จะใช้เรื่องงานมาให้แล้วไม่ได้เมลตอบไปขอบคุณซักที ก็กะว่าจะเมลตอบไปขอบคุณแต่ก็ไม่ได้เมลซักที จริงๆกะว่าจะเมลอยู่วันสองวันนี้ แต่ก็มาเกิดเหตุขึ้น… ถ้าเราเมลไปตอนนี้ พี่เขาคงไม่ได้อ่านแล้วสินะ

แล้วเมื่อสามวันก่อน มีคนแอดเฟสบุ๊คมา… คิดว่าน่าจะเป็นพี่เค้าแหล่ะ…แต่ตอนนั้นไม่แน่ใจ ชื่อนามสกุลเดียวกัน แต่รายละเอียดบางอย่างเหมือนไม่ใช่ เลยไม่แน่ใจไม่ได้แอคเซ็บไป..จนวันนี้มาลองกดดู เข้าไป…ก็เมลเดียวกัน… คงใช่แหล่ะ… แล้วมาคิดดูว่า สามวันที่แล้ว…ก็เป็นวันก่อนที่พี่เค้าจะเสียชีวิตวันหนึ่ง…คิดแล้วอึ้ง…

มาคิดดู…ในอินบ๊อกซ์เราตอนนี้ก็มีเมลพี่เค้าที่เคยส่งมาเรื่องงานอยู่  ในคอมที่ทำงานก็ยังมีไฟล์เสียงที่อัดไว้ตอนสัมภาษณ์เขาอยู่  แล้วเฟสบุ๊คเขาอีก… ไม่อยากเชื่อว่า คนๆนี้ตอนนี้เค้าไม่ได้อยู่ตรงนี้แล้ว  ตอนเราเจอเค้าพี่เค้าก็ดูแข็งแรงดีอยู่นี่นา เรายังคิดว่า พี่เค้าเป็นคนเก่งและรู้สึกว่าคนๆนี้ต้องมีอนาคตไกลแน่ๆ

เราก็เป็นแค่คนที่ได้มีโอกาสรู้จักและเจอพี่เขาแค่แวบเดียว แต่ไม่รู้ทำไมเหมือนกันที่รู้สึกใจหายมาก แล้วก็เสียใจมากด้วยกับสิ่งที่เกิดขึ้น

รู้งี๊น่าจะตอบเมลไปขอบคุณเขาเร็วกว่านี้…

ไม่อยากนึกเลยว่า ขนาดเราซึ่งเป็นคนห่างๆ ยังเสียใจ แล้วครอบครัวเขาจะเสียใจขนาดไหน

เห็นข่าวทางทีวี งานศพพี่เขา เห็นครอบครัวเขา แล้วสะเทือนใจ

เห็นรูปพี่เค้าทางทีวี… เหมือนตอกย้ำว่า คนๆนี้จริงๆด้วยที่เราไปเจอมาจริงๆ

วันนี้โทรไปหาคุณสุรเดช ฝากบอกแสดงความเสียใจเรื่องนี้…

แล้วเมื่อกี๊อ่านในเว็ปว่าจริงๆแล้วพี่เค้าจะได้เลื่อนตำแหน่งและย้ายไปนครศรีธรรมราชปลายเดือนนี้… อ่านแล้วยิ่งอึ้ง… ทำไมต้องเกิดเหตุเมื่อวานนี้ขึ้นมาด้วย… อีกนิดเดียวพี่เขาก็กำลังจะไ้ด้ย้ายไปอีกที่แล้ว…

จำได้ว่า วันนั้นที่โรงเรียนบ้านยะหา ครูประสิทธิ์ถ่ายรูปเก็บไว้ มีพี่เค้าอยู่ในรูปด้วย ครูยังไม่ได้ส่งมาให้ เดี๋ยวเราลองโทรไปถามดีกว่า… อยากเก็บไว้เป็นที่ระลึก

อยากไปร่วมงานศพพี่เค้านะ… ถ้าอยู่กรุงเทพจะไปแน่ๆ แต่นี่อยู่นครศรีธรรมราช แถมเราอาทิตย์หน้าต้องไปทำงานที่ภูเก็ตทั้งอาทิตย์…  คงต้องส่งใจไปแทน…

สุดท้ายอยากบอกคุณพันธ์ศักดิ์ว่า ขอบคุณจริงๆ ที่คุณเสียสละปฏิบัติหน้าที่เพื่อคนไทยจำนวนมากทั้งที่อยู่ในและนอกพื้นที่ ครั้งนั้นที่ได้เจอคุณ เป็นครั้งแรกที่ได้เห็นทหารทางใต้ทำงานกันจริงๆ ขอบคุณที่วันนั้นพวกพี่ๆทหารเสียสละเวลามาดูแลความปลอดภัยให้พวกเรา  ประทับใจมาก และถึงแม้ว่า ตอนนี้คุณพันธ์ศักดิ์ไม่ได้อยู่ตรงนั้นแล้ว ถึงถ้าหนูโทรไปหรือเมลไป ก็คงไม่มีคนตอบแล้ว  แต่ว่า ในฐานะที่ถึงแม้หนูจะได้เจอพี่ในระยะเวลาสั้นๆ  แต่…พ.ต.พันธ์ศักดิ์ ทองสุข หรือที่หนูเรียกว่า คุณพันธ์ศักดิ์ บ้าง พี่พันธ์ศักดิ์บ้าง ก็จะเป็นคนที่หนูไม่มีวันลืมนะคะ

worked til 20:30 today.  Then, I met relatives from China who I’ve never met before.  It’s really a good feeling.

My plan?

Tmr 8:30-11:45 Japanese class.. shit.. no time to prepare for the kanji test, and I’ve not done that (too) difficult homework.

14:00-18:00 work….

Sunday…

Lunch with family… and relatives.

Then… dunno when on Sunday, gonna meet my friend from France..

Then Monday morning, go to Phuket til Friday for a business trip..

Then next monday.. go to the north of Thailand for another business trip

now it’s already1:37am… too tired… gotta go now…

I was feeling down today during my late afternoon and evening.  hum.. I’ve talked about it to some people and couple of them made me feel a bit better.  Thank you..

Tmr I have to go back to work again.  I’ve not done what I had planned to do during my holidays.. hum… but at least now I’ve 4 hours left before it’s tmr, so I still got some time to do something.

I think I hadn’t had enough sleep for a while before my holiday, so I found myself slept a lot during my days off.  hum… and perhaps.. that’s enough

I’ve had enough, and now it’s time to start doing something again.

hum… ok… now 3 hours and 56 mins left, so I gotta go now.  I’ll write again tmr probably.

This weekend, I’ll go to Ubon.  Then, next week I’ve to go to Phuket for a business trip again.

Dear all reader(s) [if there's any]

I know I’ve not been here for months.

Since I started working, I always tell myself to keep up with the writing because I think my work itself is worth being recorded since I’ve been to places.  However… I won’t give any excuse of not writing hehe  I opened my wordpress page often, and found myself closing it down without writing.  Once I wondered if I’d ever write here again.

Though it’s just 2 months, but I feel like ages that so many things have happened.

I’ve got (a little more) used to my work.  However, I think I’m still not good enough.

Let’s see any updates of mine…

Since I’ve worked here.. I’ve been to

by plane

• Vientiene, Laos & Udonthani, Thailand for the Thai-Laos train
• Phuket: one day trip for a Japanese yacht man
• Deep south of Thailand: Yala and Songkhla

by car

• some other provinces near by Bangkok such as Nakornpathom, Chonburi, etc.

I’ve met some people for interview.  Although I’m just an assistant, not the one who actually interviewed them, it’s a nice experience already

• prime minister
• minister of finance
• several MPs and one senator
• teachers, students,  and soldiers in the south
• sellers
• Some students, and people in Laos
• etc.

It’s hard to explain, but sometimes I like the feeling.  Once I interviewed an old Laos lady who wanted to try the new train linked between Thailand and Laos for the first time, and she ended up with disappointment because of some stupid reason.  I like talking to her.  She’s the type of person who I could feel she’s a good person.

The time that I felt uncomfortable was when I asked the sister of the teacher being killed.  I had to ask about her brother, and I felt uncomfortable asking her about that topic.

The time I had fun was when I had to go to Phuket out of sudden for one day.  It’s really a sudden.  I went to work without knowing that I had to take the plane to Phuket.  Then, I found out, ok, we gotta go now.  Rushed to the airport, bought a single ticket.  Then, I was on the plane without knowing when I’d return, and there’s almost nothing in my bag.  In a way, that’s kinda fun =p (though I didn’t really see what the tourists must see when they go to Phuket)

When I was in Vientiene, I didn’t see much as well.  I was alone, and I didn’t have that much time to roam around the city, so at the end, I just hired a transport to have a quick look around the city.  At night, I wanted to go out to see stuff, but after walking alone for few blocks, I felt kinda weird coz it’s quite quiet and dark, and I didn’t know where should I go.  At the end, I just walked back to the hotel hehe

Of course, nothing’s purely sweet, right?  Even sugar can turn a bit bitter when it became caramel.

There’re both ups and downs in all aspects of life.  Sometimes I felt so happy with it while some other times, I felt terribly bad and pessimistic.

Sometimes I wonder how the future’ll be like…

Unknown things’re quite scary sometimes.

There’re many things to learn both learning about myself and other people.

I think I should stop writing this post soon coz my bed time’s coming (too) soon.

Here’s the pic I took in Hong Kong last April.  It’s one of my favourite pics of that trip.  Don’t ask me who he’s.  I just saw him by chance.  My first intention was that I wanted to take the pic when he looked to the right part of the pic, but when I pressed the shutter button, he suddenly turned to his mum, but I still like the pic anyway.  Children always give a nice feeling.

PS.  This weekend, I’ve played too much the sims 3.  It made my weekend finished even before I realized it had started >_<  I think I should spend less time on my computer…

PS2. Since June 30th, I’ve started my Japanese class every Saturday.  hum.. the class’s slow, but perhaps, that’s good.

wow… time really flies.  It’s the first time since I started working that I’ve got a 3 days weekend.  It’s like heaven, but… hey! I’ve not really done what I planned to do, and here Monday’s at the doorstep already…  I can’t believe it!!

Lately I’ve been in a thinking mode.  I started thinking about life in a long run.  What do I really want to do?  How should I live my life from now til many years later?  What things can make me feel happiest?  

There’re many paths to reach the destinations but we’ve to choose which one’s the best.

Something’s missing.  I got a job.  I got good friends.  My family is lovely.  However, still.. something’s missing.  

Do I have to tell what it is? lol  I’ll just let you guess =p

It’s been years that the space’s empty hum… I don’t know why as well.  It just hasn’t happened. hehe and I wonder.. when it’ll happen…

I just came back from HK last night.  This trip, I’ve caught a cold since the very beginning.  The trip was ok, but not very very good since I caught a cold and also the political situation in Thailand.

I felt guilty that I was away from Thailand while this thing happened.  I felt guilty that I was away while other ppl at the office are working.  However, my aunt said I shouldn’t feel that or else I’d feel guilty all the time.  This thing’s something I couldn’t predict that it’d happen.  I got the permission to go, and the thing happened by the time I was already in HK, and I didn’t know before that it’d happen.  

I know sometimes I pressured myself too much.. even so.. my work’s still not good enough.  In fact, I put my satisfaction level at the quite high point.  I wish my work’ll be good and be appreciated by others.  hum… that’s why I always try to improve and do my best.

However, that consumes lot of energy.. that’s why I faced the battery-run-out mode sometimes.  hum… let’s see how things go… and what’ll happen in the future.

Anyway Anyway… I love travelling.  I wanna travel again in the future. =)

ah.. there’re many other things to write, but I’ve to stop here now.  I’ll go to grandma’s house soon.  I’ll write later when I’ve time.  

PS. I wanna have enough money to be able to travel regularly… but is it possible?  Any job pays that well? and will that job be mine? lol   hum.. anyway, I like my current job.  It’s not perfect, but nothing’s perfect anyway.  I’ll keep working there as long as I feel happy doing it.  To feel so, I’ve to also feel that other ppl are happy with my work.  For that, I’ve to do a good job. hum.. I’m still far from that, but I’ll try.

hum.. yeah.. back from my the first job at the place where there’s a protest.  In fact, they call it a rally.  

Nothing bad has happened so far, and I wish it won’t happen til the end as well, but if it’s possible?  

hum… so crowed and hot today… I think Thailand’s weather is too hot to hold the demonstration – -; 

Anyway, gotta go now.  I need to reach the office at 7am since I’ll go for another news.  The US aircraft carrier will be here tmr, so there’s the event for the media tmr.. and yeah.. i’ll be there =)

PS. Taohuu and Taochiao are fine.  I think Taochiao’s almost 16kg already while Taohuu’s around 13kg.. hum.. I think they’re funny dogs which could make us laugh or smile ^ ^

Today the work’s not difficult.  I followed up the stuff about triathlon I did last weekend.  I already got this year information, but still waiting for the info of 2007.  I’ve not translated this year info yet since I was busy with other tasks.

hum.. I checked about the demonstration tmr.  Tmr I need to go to the government house with other 2 jp staffs.  There’ll have a big demonstration tmr… by the way.. hehe and of course, I’m worried if anything bad or violence will happen… like some fights (or bombs? or tear gas? – -;)  I hope not.  I really wish for a peaceful demonstration.

Of course, if it’s not my job, I’ll wanna stay away from it as far as possible, but.. it’s a job.. hehe so.. no other choice.

I really wish Thai politics to be in peace soon, but is it possible?  

Today mum made yakiniku (grilled meat).  I came back home late, so my mum and sister had finished eating already.  Just me and my dad.. I think since there’re only 2 of us, it’s less delicious.  I think this kind of food, it’s more delicious when we eat with many people.

Wow.. I’m tired now.  I didn’t have enough sleep last night since i was up late reading the newspaper.  hum.. I think I must get ready to go to bed now since.. I think I need to have enough energy for tmr tough job.

PS. I wish there’ll have no bomb, fighting, or anything dangerous tmr… seriously…
